Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
I am Mrs Balcon, our school SENCO. I absolutely love my role and helping to make a difference to the pupils in school. At Fairmeadows, we see all children as unique individuals. Every pupil is important to us and is recognised as an individual with particular needs. We are committed to narrowing the attainment gap between SEND and non-SEND pupils. This can be through a variety of identified support and intervention programmes, based on individual learning needs.
At Fairmeadows, we are proud to have an 'open-door policy' so if you have any concerns or questions, I am always on hand to listen and support both parents and pupils. In the first instance, we recommend you speak to your child's class teacher first.
However if you wish to discuss anything further, you can contact me via the school office on 01283 211019 or on my email address firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our named SEND governor is - Sadie Jordan (Chair).
Please contact the office, if you need to get in touch with her.
We also publish our SEND information each year.
This is available for those who wish to know more about SEND at Fairmeadows. Please click here for our most recent report (December 2020).
