The children will perform their Christmas play to the rest of the school on Monday.
On Tuesday we look forward to welcoming you to our Christmas crafts morning. Crafts begin at 8.40am with the children performing their Christmas play after refreshments. We expect the festivities to end at 10am.
Friday is our Christmas jumper day and we will have party food and play some games. There might even be a special visitor!

w/c 10th December
This week the children will be listening to the story about the first Christmas.
They will be experimenting with mixing colours and finding out the different colours they can make.
The children will be practicing copying letters of their name and writing about the first Christmas.
The children will also be playing a number game and placing the correct number of baubles on the christmas tree.
Monday is our parent's Christmas dinner.
Remember to keep practicing the Christmas songs!

Our Weekly focus
We will only be focusing on number 9 this week.
We will be practicing our Christmas songs and the Christmas performance.
The children will be making something to sell at the Christmas fair and you will have chance to buy what your child has made on Friday.
The children will also be practicing writing their names.
Friday is our Christmas fair. The fair starts at 2pm till 4pm.

This week is Anti-Bullying week. There are bands for sale at 50p and Monday is odd socks day!

Thursday is schools remembrance day and the children will be making some poppies.

The children will be learning all about different festivals and celebrations.
We will makes lots of different crafts and celebrate Linda the puppets birthday.
We will continue to introduce a new number, sound, shape, colour and song each week.

Our weekly focus.
We will not have our weekly number, colour, shape or sound focus.
This week our focus is our senses.
Each day the children will learn about one of their senses and will take part in focused activities.
On Monday the children will be learning about their sight and playing 'I Spy!'
On Tuesday the children will be learning about their hearing and using our lovely new telephones to play 'Who's talking?'
On Wednesday the children will be learning about their sense of smell and using their noses to work out 'what is that smell?'
On Thursday the children will be doing some baking and tasting different flavoured scones.
On Friday the children will be finding out what is in the bag only using their sense of touch.
On Friday the children will also be taking part in a basketball shoot out.

We will be introducing our weekly focus. Children are welcome to bring something from home that relates to our focus for the week.

We will share the story 'What do I look like?'
The focus will be on emotions. We will encourage the children to use facial expressions to show different emotions and see if they can identify how others are feeling.
We will be working on number recognition from 1 to 5 and encourage the children to match cars to the right numeral.

The first few weeks are our settling in period. We will work with the children to help them form relationships with their peers and the staff in Foundation 1.
The children will start to understand the rules and routines of the school.
We look forward to getting to know all the children.
Our theme for Autumn Term 1 is 'Busy Bodies!'
The children will be learning all about their new surroundings and getting to know their peers and the adults. We will share different stories with the children and encourage their love for books.
The children will also learn about their emotions and body parts.
We will work with the children to improve pencil control and help them to start making marks that represent different things.
We will be looking at maths and consolidating the children's number recognition up to 5. We will also look at shapes and sizes.
