Welcome to Year 3.
Hello. I am Mr Boulter and I am the Year Three teacher at Fairmeadows. I adore being a teacher and cannot wait for another fun-filled and hopefully normal year at school. I am thoroughly enthusiastic and motivated in creating a learning environment, which is built on trust, independence, respect, a love for learning and most importantly a lot of fun!
Outside of school, I love spending time with my family and friends, gardening going to the gym and eating tasty food.
Mrs Corten will be working with us this year.
Key Information
Timetable
Homework
Reading - Children should read at least three times a week and bring their reading books daily. This is the most important way you can support your child with learning at home. Evidence of reading should be uploaded to Seesaw and added to the reading at home file, the staff can help you with this if you get stuck!
Spellings - Children will be given 10 words to learn and will be tested each Friday. These will be placed on Seesaw and should be practised on Spelling Shed every evening for at least 10 minutes.
Time Tables - Time Tables Rockstars should also be used daily to help children maintain their time table knowledge for at least 10 minutes.
Mathletics - Each week we will award a Mathletics champion in the class for the child with the most points that week.
Learning Warrior and Learning Powers
Our learning powers run throughout school and underpin the core values we work to and hope to develop in the children.
The Learning Powers are:
These Powers underpin our curriculum aims and develop growth-mind-set. They also provide our children with the right start preparing for life outside beyond Fairmeadows.
We support these through our Learning Warrior Scheme which rewards pupils for exhibiting these qualities.
Forest Schools
Forest School is an inspirational process that offers ALL learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in our very own woodland and natural environment. Children we have a session each week for the whole year.
Please see a list of clothing for your child's sessions.
