w/c 10th & 17th December - Christmas
- We are reading The Christmas Story
- We will be making and writing Christmas cards.
- We will be reading clocks to the hour using 'o'clock' language.
- We are doing PE outside developing our ball skills.
- We will be developing our prediction skills in Reading.
- We will be practising our handwriting patterns to strengthen our fine motor skills.
- We will start to practise our singing and lines for the Christmas crafts.
w/c 3rd December - Baby in Bethlehem
- We are reading The Jolly Postman
- We will be writing letters to Santa
- Using language related to time - sequencing events in order.
- We are doing PE outside developing our ball skills.
- We will be making gifts to sell at the Christmas Market.
- We will start to practise our singing and lines for the Christmas crafts.
Our Calendar Craft
w/c 26th November - Thanksgiving
- We are reading The Gingerbread Man
- We will be writing sentences from the story using cursive letters.
- Using language related to time - learning the days of the week.
- We are doing PE outside developing out ball skills.
- We will start to practise our singing for the Christmas crafts.
w/c 19th November - Wedding Bells
- We are reading Scarecrows Wedding.
- We will be identifying initial sounds in words related to weddings.
- Using language related to length - longer/shorter.
- We are using the gymnastic apparatus in PE to show good control when travelling and jumping.
- We will start to practise our singing for the Christmas crafts.
w/c 12th November - Happy Birthday!
- We are celebrating our class mascot - Polly the Parrot's (Puppet) birthday this week.
- We will be writing birthday cards for her.
- Counting amounts to 20 and continuing to recognise teen numbers in Maths.
- We are using the gymnastic apparatus in PE to show good control when travelling and jumping.
- We will be decorating cupcakes for the party.
- We will have our school rememberance day on Thursday - lots of Poppy based activities.
- We will have Children in Need (non-uniform) day on Friday and a little birthday party in the afternoon.
w/c 5th November - The Festival of Lights
- We are visiting the Hindu Temple this week.
- Recognising teen numbers in Maths.
- We will be decorating our Diva lamps for Diwali.
- We will be writing about the school visit.
