Welcome to Year 2
Hello!
I am Mrs Fox and I am the Year Two teacher at Fairmeadows. I always enjoy teaching Year 2 and hope to have a fun filled year. I love working at Fairmeadows and think it's the best school there is. I lead maths across school so this is something I really enjoy teaching this and seeing all the children progress.
When I am not in school I enjoy travelling in the UK and abroad (when I can), my favourite places so far are London, York and Paris. I enjoy spending time with my family and cat Merlin. I love going to concerts and listening to live music and have some trips planned to see some favourite bands.
Mrs Boulter will be working with us this year and we are looking forward to an awesome year ahead!
Key Information
Timetable
Homework
Reading - Children should read everyday and bring their reading books daily. This is the most important way you can support your child with learning at home. Evidence of reading should be uploaded to Seesaw and added to the reading at home file, the staff can help you with this if you get stuck!
Learning Organiser - Each week a Learning Organiser will be uploaded to SeeSaw. Children should have a read of the organiser to be ready for the following weeks learning. The following week there will be a 'pop task' to see what the children have learned.
Spellings - Children will be given words to learn but these are not tested each week, however will be assessed at the end of term.
Time Tables - Children to practise their 2s, 5s and 10s.
Mathletics - Each week a Mathletics task will be set linked to their learning
Learning Powers
Our learning powers run throughout school and underpin the core values we work to and hope to develop in the children.
The Learning Powers are:
These Powers underpin our curriculum aims and develop growth-mind-set. They also provide our children with the right start preparing for life outside beyond Fairmeadows.
Forest Schools
Forest School is an inspirational process that offers ALL learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in our very own woodland and natural environment. Children we have a session each week after February half term.
