Awesome Area!
As part of their measurement work, children have been working on calculating the perimeter and area of shapes. We had a go at counting squares, drawing our own shapes and playing games before applying our knowledge to knex and lego. Here's a sneak peek at some of our work!

Fabulous Fractions!
After returning from the Christmas holidays, the children have started to build on their knowledge of equivalent fractions. They have been investigating how we can decide whether they are equivalent as well as beginning to explain and justify their answers using diagrams and explanations. Here's some of our work so far!
