Home Learning

Home Learning is happily over, but homework expectations remain. Please follow the link below which will take you to our page concerning homework and the important role it plays in supporting your child on their journey through school. We believe that small amounts of regular homework in certain key areas enables pupils to thrive and consolidate knowledge and skills taught in class.

The impact of regular homework compounds over time and can lead to pupils making +5 months progress against expected academic acceleration. It is particularly impactful for children who have missed school or who have fallen behind due to the pandemic and lost time.

As a primary school we keep homework expectations simple and short. We want pupils to relax and play at home, but hope that sitting with your child and engaging in their learning is a supportive way for you to be a part of their day and emphasise the importance of their education and journey through this and their next school.

Always get in touch if you have any questions. Homework can be an emotive issue and the Parent Forum is a great opportunity to discuss this.

If you require a Home Learning pack, stationary or technology please contact your class teacher through Seesaw or contact the school office.
